Citizenship Page

Citizenship courses are held continuously all year round at the Columbus Family Resource Center.  Provided by Platte Valley Literacy Association, these classes are designed to prepare individuals for the naturalization interview. Students study U.S. History and Government throughout the course while practicing their Literacy skills.

Citizenship classes are open to the public and are free of charge. All participants must be able to speak, understand, read, and write common English words and phrases. Anyone can join at anytime, just please call 402-562-1432 or go through the “Contact Us” page and wait for a confirmation to register.

Class days/time locations:

Mondays 6:00pm-8:00pm at PVLA 3020 18th Street Columbus


Tuesdays 9:00am-11:00am at PVLA 3020 18th Street Columbus

Keep in mind that children are not allowed in the classroom, and that childcare is not provided by PVLA.
